Musics Voice

Musics Voice

A Poem by Michelle Tarnowski
"

Musics voice, vivid, intense, every note a colored jewel behind my eyes erupting in flashes of light....

"

Music’s voice, vivid, intense, every note

a colored jewel behind my eyes

erupting in flashes of light

Emeralds vibrating green in vertigo swirls

Sapphires in cool cerulean pools

Amber nectar of molten gold

Rubies claret red dripping sweet

Promises to be told in waves of harmony

reverberating off my skin,

resonating through my soul

The cadence carries me over rivers of tones

flowing past my ear

Rich timbres depth, the taste of earth

bittersweet and wild on my tongue

Tenors note fresh like a zephyr breeze

carries me away

Music’s voice a kaleidoscope of sound

lifts me above myself to places extraordinary.
