Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Michelle Tarnowski
"

....The random cadence of my ever changing mood....

"

Sibilant whisperings vague in my ears

Just beyond my understanding

Sounds hissing by in a world

Swirling around me

Moving at a rapid pace

My world is still

My world is set apart

In spectrum colors of light

And rich shades of dark

Is where I live

I view life from a distance

Safe in my solitude

I select the sounds I hear

To match the rhythm of my mind

The random cadence of my

Ever changing mood

I am my own companion

An ever present guest

Lovely poem. Some people can enjoy being by themselves and just relaxing.
The idea behind this poem was beautifully captured.

This is a beautiful piece full of bright imagery. I like your choice of words here and the flow that it has. Solitude can be both a curse and a blessing ... when it comes right down to it, ourselves are the only thing we really have at the end of the day ... it's just you.
