Fractured

Fractured

A Poem by Michelle Tarnowski
"

Our broken hearts so fragile. "Wipe gently the fragile glass..."

"

Peer through the window

Clouded and dark from time passing.

Wipe gently the fragile glass

Fractured panes that once glowed from within

The now darkened room

in silence waits, cold and empty

Hollow echoes of what was

And never will be again.

Could it be again?

Loved your poem! Like the artist Sting says in a song "how fragile we are!"
Humans are the most complex and one of the most frqgile species on earth!
We all know that a human heart broken is very hard to fix!
A very well artisticly written poem showing just how fragile our window of life truly is! Great poem! Good luck with all you future works!

Ah Michelle, how true it is. I have dealt with more broken hearts than I can shake a stick at. It is my life's call to minister to such as these and it is with great joy that God does so through me. Nothing is more rewarding than to watch God put them back together one piece at a time. What a metaphor for the broken heart: As fragile as glass...

Wipe gently the fragile glass

Fractured panes that once glowed from within

It CAN be again, but the recipient of the broken heart must open themselves up to it and believe they can be healed. We have all heard the age old quote "Time heals all." Though time is a factor for some, the really truth is "Willingness to be healed, will eventually bring the healing."

A piece that has been elegantly and beautifully championed from beautiful hands, Carole

Much Love, Carole

I liked this alot, you described a fragile heart in a complex way. I like how you used the question in the end.
Could it be again?
