Bitter

Bitter

A Poem by Michelle Tarnowski
"

The format fell apart the first time so I will try it again for the third time. I hope you will read it.

"

My words lay coiled
waiting to strike like
an adder I lay in wait.
A deadly bite I would
give leaving you writhing
on the ground in pain
much like you left me.
Again and again I would
strike until all the pain
you caused was yours again.
My soul despairs twisted
in so many knots like
an angry cord.
Imagination striking out
over and over…
Bitter words unspoken
like acid on silk
my peace has been
eaten away while you sit
in your ivory tower built on
the bones of another.
Those to whom your
commitment you gave
lay cast aside, stumbling
blocks unwanted until a
further purpose they may serve.
Hearts truer than yours,
unconditional love waits…waits
wanting only your approval, your love.

You put a lot of work into the presentation of this poem and was work well spent. The content tastes just like the title. The whole poem came full circle and i must give kudos for your efforts. Great job.

This is truly awesome, I love the presentation as much as the content. That winding red snake looks ready to bite, excellent.
