Inspiration

A Poem by Michelle Tarnowski

Hidden in your world, a butterfly’s cocoon

a web of slender threads catch your thoughts.

Like diamond dewdrops, the light of knowledge

refracts into a spectrum of words transparent in air.

As the pale and dull world drifts through

the inhabitance are touched by colors of inspiration.

Great sensory imagery portrayed here with thoughts being caught by a web of slender threads and diamond dewdrops. I thought the idea of inspiration cocooned was a great analogy as well. Very well written and truly enjoyed.

Profound! I love the metaphor you have used in comparing the butterflies cocoon to inspiration. The imagery here is astounding. I was captivated by this and so glad I read it! Your style Michelle, is truly unique, Michelle. I might add, you are an inspiration to me! :-)
