UnbecomingA Poem by LPS
In this world of humanity; we classify everything and everyone below ourselves. Faster and Faster; it all flies by. Subtleties swallowed by a warped speed life. Forgetting to remember; You promised yourself, you would never forget. Then you did. Or maybe it was choice. Standing in line, there is always time. Thoughts go wild; like a tiny lost child, running around in your head. What is so far out; is not really that far. We can understand technical amazing things yet common decency is hanging on morals, morals are connected to honor, and honor is close to extinction. Where does the truth hide when life is a lie? From the beds where we sleep, to the food that we buy. Born into this world a hybrid, half wolf and half sheep. Voting for an illusion, so many ill fated promises to be made . Clearly it is unclear, most easily swayed. If it looks good on paper, then bring on the red tape. Good thing for the watchful eye; that protects thy self and assets alike. It’s a slippery slope, worse when its known, embellished, and ignored. A conscience betrayed to walk in the parade; passing propaganda flyers for all. To stand up and shout, accuse and bring doubt leads to adversity and pain. Hurt is not a goal for life, but change is worth the strain. Tomorrow is a choice, a chance to try again.
