Chalked

Chalked

A Poem by LPS

Written and wrote in numerous ways.
So many a compelling need to say.
A knot in the throat.
A formidable play on play.
Truth will lie in the moment to leave lay.
What comes next?
Who should say?
So many more thoughts to betray.
Words composed for the voice can't say.
Stolen innocence and candid hate.
Chew off the feet to walk a mile.
Just make sure it's done with style,
An arrogant pace and a great big smile.
Thieving morality in denial.
