Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace

A Poem by Vin

The lies drop like hollow bombs,

And my greatest enemy is time.

Am I moving at the right speed?

Or am I dying while attempting to climb?

Make me a wall as big as your pride,

And point your guns. Blood will be spilled.

As I lean against this wall,

You fire at will!

Your fingers hold my blood,

And the bullets read my name.

You hold your breath,

As your eyes seem to take aim.

The sky echoes your confidence,

While the ocean drowns your stress.

The stars align with your courage,

While the moon lights your success.

You seem so proud,

And a sinister smile is imprinted on your face.

You seem so proud,

Oh, how I love your amazing grace.

Nice. Good form and well used literary devices. Everything seemed to flow nicely the only line that threw me of was "Love will be spilled." Not to say the line sucks but the flow of reading the poem was slightly paused at that point. Overall nice!
