Turn Back The Clock

Turn Back The Clock

A Poem by Vin

Mistakes are easy to commit,

And the pain comes cheap.

It’s not your fault,

But the wounds are deep.

As the story goes on,

Late nights will never be the same.

As the story goes on,

I’m caught in a fire,

And this love is the flame.

I knew it would be hard,

But no one ever told me so.

All these feelings will go away.

For now, this false hope is all I know.

And yet here I rest,

Wishing the sun come up and shine bright.

And yet here I rest,

Wishing this was all a dream, just gone with the night.

Although life’s hardships have made me a victim,

I wish for you the best of luck.

I’ll be here and I’ll keep close watch,

don’t worry about me,

someone please turn back the clock.

I like the rhyming scheme in the poem. The poem itself would work very well as a song lyric in my opinion. (reminded me of Linkin Park lol) How you presented your idea is well done .
