Truth or lieA Poem by Manuel SamoI could have told a lie, But I chose the truth instead; Thinking they sought it in all cases. Conversely, my surmise was wrong. They found me disgusting And glanced askance at me. Then later, With a more crucial and delicate matter at hand I made a rather sage decision Or so I thought I picked the lie However, they noticed somehow. They called me a liar, Expressed their disappointment And the obvious, they parted ways. © 2013 Manuel SamoAuthor's Note
