The Journey from Me to HerA Poem by ManpreetA beautiful thought on beautiful moments of lifeA Journey from Me to Her I stopped to gaze Through the glass window Detached from numbers Under profit and loss on my screen show
Starting a backward journey In my mind through unnoticed past A face gleamed before my eyes Playing with pebbles as seen last
The look was fresh as morning dew Encircled by a starry dream Sparkling giggles pure as a prayer Softly crossing life’s realm
Auburn pigtails with silk ribbons Daring wind to blow it away Sun enhanced pink of her cheeks Watched the magic in her play
A serene sight, too pure to touch Delicately melting folds of skies Unheard in shadows I tried to find Clear answers to silent whys
Conclusions settled a fiery spark To be back in time with heavy heart Thirst began to drink its peace Silence loud and sounds were bleak
Stretched arms couldn’t console the tears Life is choked with plastic cheers It was a journey started from me to her As she wondered in her heart if I would ever get there
