Looking up in the sky waiting for the rain to pour

Measuring the might of waves reaching out to the shore

Scripted on the dry sands are tales of yesteryear pride

How time touched depth of the sea beneath folded vicinity of skies

 

If thoughts could build castles I would build a fortress

Splurging with warmth for life on its own behest

Painted in color patterns of love and flowers of hope

Where spring will usher delicately with rainbow tucked in its robe

 

If thoughts could build castles I would knit a dream

Spread on fallen petals of flowers bloomed in the last spring

Marking woven path for mountains to reach out and touch the soul of the sun

On the edge of lovers point where count of two becomes just single one

 

Let me imbibe peace within raindrops and sprinkle it all on earth

Dew drops of hope follow each morning reviving its absolute worth

Streets to go serene no more dressed in sharp edges of barbwire

 Innocence to live as long as it wishes for, in its heavenly attire

 

If thoughts could build castles I will create mighty streams

That will flow through all hearts and harvest meaningful dreams
