A simple description for love

Love

 

 

You heard them say it day and night

For lovers ears it’s a sweetest chime

It saves it hurts it soothes it kills

It fails the high of exotic wine

 

It’s just a word that holds the world

It’s just a turn that twists the swerve

It’s just a hush that rakes the nerve

It’s just a sense that straights the curve

 

Many would seek but let it go

Some of them would take it slow

Few of us would like to live

Just one or two would like to give

 

It eases pain and spreads the peace

It closes gates for lust and greed

It cleanses souls and makes them great

It’s always has a toughest fate

 

The word is love but it means so much

The sign is bleak but leaves its touch

It only lives and never dies

It only falls to size the rise

I liked it. You described love perfectly and it just left me smiling. I loved the 2nd stanza the most. It was brilliant how you used "just" but you added a powerful and strong phrase after that. This was really great. +1 to my favorites. Thanks for sharing. :)

I was just talking about love how this word is so overused and no one really knows what love it...it is defined in perfection inside of the Bible, and if we look at the definition there we all fall so short of giving it....I loved ....lol this piece greatly or should I say I appreciated how you took me through loves journey.....
