Walk through the
fog
In a big city one cold winter day
Through the silent lanes I was walking away
Where will I reach? I possibly couldn’t say
On that endless dark and foggy way
Milky sheet of fog was spread around
Silence was embedded in those subtle sounds
I hoped and wished with thoughts profound
I froze in time and stood astound
Thousands of shadows simply passed by
Surrounded by strange voices talking on sly
The feel was lonely sad and painful
Even softest of thoughts felt so sinful
Soft embraces of past beckoned me
Locked memoirs started breaking free
Scent of warm breath hampered my pace
Chills woke me to move into empty space
Just couldn’t stop that falling tear
I couldn’t get far but I was nowhere near
Smile was stale with a long lost charm
Intuitive mirage was the only stance
Held out my hand to the hope unknown
Waited until the sign was shown
Drifted along with that magical sway
In a big city one cold winter day
On an endless dark and foggy way
