Green

We do not own a colour; it is not a single thing,
You can not deny a presence that lends itself to spring.
Its meanings always different; its beauty always vast,
Colour always blooms though the world is changing fast.
Green to me is birth, wonderment on display,
Green to you is thoughts of the coming day.
Take with you the hope that this colour brings,
If I could I would lend to you my secret fairy wings.

What a pretty little poem, green is my favorite color and for some reason I always equate it with spring, and new life which you spun into a wonderful little poem. Thank you, I enjoyed it very much.

I was struck with all the different greens I know. It's that sort of season when people are decorating with pine boughs and sprigs of holly. And then, soon there will be the green of new grass, and later the brilliant green of wheat fields just starting to sprout. Green is growth. Green is God. There's an novelist from this area that has a theme running through his novels that "God is in the trees." I like that. I know that God isn't in the church. Green is good.
