Her Ghost. A story by Manoosh Crook

There is a girl that hides in my house; I know she is there because I can see her, feel her, hear her.  The strangest thing is that I am the only one.

Her face is beautiful but her eyes, her eyes they show so much fear that I am scared too look at them for more than a second.  Her cheeks glisten in the light but her smile holds firm.  I want to ask her what her eyes give away, but I do not, I fear what I will hear.

Some say for a lost soul to move on all they require is someone to listen to them, am I brave enough? I am unsure. I wish there was another that could listen to her; I would give anything to help her find peace, I pray for mercy.

Wow! Is this true I wonder? It was written so long ago I wonder if there's a sequel. The desire to help one in need can be so strong at times, but fear is stronger. How true this piece is, sharing the inner struggle people walk into many times in their lives. Beautifully written and greatly enjoyed. Thank you for sharing. :)

Wow, this gave me chills. You put me "there" flawlessly.

Excellent job.

I've always lived in haunted places. Because this is one of three stories to show us 'you', I'm not sure if the little girl is you, and this is metaphorical. So, I'll hold all my ghost stories for another day. : ) Maybe it's time I gave them their stories....
Thanks for sharing.
