What did you expect?

What did you expect?

A Poem by Just Manoosh

Written March 07, pre-deletion day. Guessing again with my poem verses reviews allocation.

"

What did you expect?

Surely theres is a princess, for I am her,
Surely theres a knight, for I have you,
There has to be a witch, as evil does exist,
There has to be a happy ending, for we all have hope.

Ignorance is a bubble that will always break,
Fairytales are a contradiction to life,
I am the witch, the princess and shining knight,
Fallen towers belong with fallen stars.

Stories are the "dreams" of those who will never achieve them,
Plans are the blueprint of those who will,
Life on paper is not good enough,
Trust me I know, learn from my mistakes.

Seems as the two seem to be a brillant contradiction of one another. I find your words to seep in brillantly and feel as if it seems to be spun artfully and carefully done here. I don't know what else to say but your diction seems quietly refreshing seeing it seems to spin a great tale of uplifting thoughts and have everything at the end up being lead on by an entire facade of a falsehood. Your language seems to be buttoned up thorughly and every word is worth its purpose and then at the end it provides a poinyent and yet heartfelt exit on the poem.
