I know who I am

I know who I am

A Poem by Just Manoosh
"

Take control.

"

I am the flame of the fire I fight,

I am the force of deafening might,

I am the enemy against whom I will fight,

I am the problem that now I must right.

I know who I am.

A little of something, perhaps I should expand this but for now my mood would not carry this for several stanza's. :)

I actually understand this immensely - I battle myself every day - we all have those "things" about ourselves that work to hold us back. It is definitely a daily uphill struggle to keep rising above the tide - to keep moving forward and not remain frozen. I'd love to see you expand on this when you're able - but it works for me as is !!!!

i think it's perfect the way it is,

It is whatever you feel
that makes the poem a great
work itself

You did great!

Don't ever doubt your
writing once written in
your heart

Great work!

I was torn betwee this title and The Little Shop Of Dreams...on balance the latter has more of a pull, but here I am looking at this one, which also has an intriguing title as I have no idea who I am. I think the first line of this one is great...it captures all the frustrations of life. It's a brilliant line actually. I can see someone full on and at the same time trying to calm down. So true so often for so many of us.

Strength with an innocent vulnerability shown, I like this!

Way to go!

I like it. It is fiery at heart. I can understand what you mean by not wanting to carry a poem on for several more stanzas! Ha! The title intrigued me so I just had to stop by and read it. I love short writes...they are certainly my favorite.Cheers, lea

I would be careful not to water it down. You have a very concentrated power here.

I love it. I have always been my biggest enemy. Unfortunately, it hasn't changed much. Excellent piece.
