The HollowA Poem by Just ManooshThe darkened forest, the beauty despite, her solitude. The Hollow
Outstretched are her inviting arms, How strong she looks …. how brittle she really is. Her body provides shelter warm and forgiving, Her beauty broken …. damaged, alone, dead. The hollow has eaten away her core, But she could never love you more. The storm of your rage carved this cavity, Up turn her roots and set her free. But remember You may not walk under this canopy, Never speak her name to the wind, You are not welcome at nature’s door, And tho' the hollow is your creation…… never will it be your home.
