The Hollow

The Hollow

A Poem by Just Manoosh
"

The darkened forest, the beauty despite, her solitude.

"

The Hollow

Outstretched are her inviting arms,

How strong she looks …. how brittle she really is.

Her body provides shelter warm and forgiving,

Her beauty broken …. damaged, alone, dead.

The hollow has eaten away her core,

But she could never love you more.

The storm of your rage carved this cavity,

Up turn her roots and set her free.

But remember

You may not walk under this canopy,

Never speak her name to the wind,

You are not welcome at nature’s door,

And tho' the hollow is your creation……

never will it be your home.

To say I adore this would be a complete understatement!
It's brilliant, and I don't say that often.

This piece reminds me of a situation in my life right now.
In fact, this situation IS my life...
But anyhow, thank you very much for sharing.

How strong she looks . how brittle she really is

This line really struck me. I can feel this in so much of myself.
This is a very interesting piece. I feel there is much needed meaning between the lines. Wonderful write my friend,

Woah, Mx....this is wonderful. Such a sad beauty resides in this piece, in this place. I hear your words loud and clear and know exactly what you mean. Do I even need to mention the forest is the same for me?? No, I think not. This is going right into my fav's library, I adore it. ((((hugs))))

This is so beautiful....i love the forest too...im fortunate i live close to one, so when it's good weather i walk or cycle through the forest...but i must say...our forest is manmade, which is a good thing.

I felt peace reading this coz i pictured myself in the forest...its been a while coz of the dark and the cold cold weather!

x,
O!

Great words to express what is happening to our world.
The hollow has eaten away her core
but she could never love you more
Those words say so much, even though man keeps taking more and more away from nature, it is still beautiful. Even in nature's fury it is beautiful.........I am one who loves storms, the power they have.
Great idea, beautiful words
