Mannington

A Poem by Just Manoosh
"

Written pre DELETION day so I cant remember what I said here. Mannington is one of my many nicknames, I have hundreds due to an usual name.

"

Mannington

The dawn comes
some
days
I
smile.

The night comes
some
nights
I

weep.

I look for doggy, for I steal his comfort, teddy bear comfort.

Words come, emotion spreads,
How many questions can be answered?

It never will be easy,
Don't you see? why don't you see? no-one can see.

Blanket days,
Strange ways,
She prays.

How much?
How much would you give for one moment,

An answer, a time, something.

There is a need,
A thirst that will never be quenched,
But still the dawn comes.

Some days I Smile.

"I look for doggy, for I steal his comfort, teddy bear comfort."

That line reminds me of a child, scared and looking for their comfort toy. Very vivid.
This is definately different from anything else I've read by you, but I still like it.
I like the flow and imagery you have in this piece, very vivid.
Well done and great job stepping in different directions.

I love the word shite. Don't hear that one in America. But about the poem: I think this is very well done. The terseness is in sharp contrast to the emotion behind the words, but it somehow draws my attention more than a lush word bath. I like the simple style. No rambling here. Straight-forward and to the point. I like to see a writer stretch themselves. Taking chances is all a part of the art. Well done. You're on to something.
