Boadicea

Boadicea

If I pray to you my lady, will you listen for my call?

If I swear to your nobility will you hold me if I fall?

Look down upon your daughter, Iceni roots of far,

Honour me my reverent Queen, bless me Boudicca.

I love this!!! Yes, translation please! But, before we get that far, I have to interrupt myself...
I read and then clicked on the pic. I was busy 'reading' the statue, all serious and getting into the battle spirit when suddenly I noticed.... pigeons!!! lol They just cracked me up, which isn't at all what I was going for...lol sorry, I digressed.... ok, I'm back..
oooh, I cheated and looked up your title, very cool woman, indeed!! As all the Celtic women were, I presume : )
Love this piece! Thanks for my history lesson of the day! : ) Absolutely awesome.

Absolutely one of my favorite heroines...have read all I can find about her! A fearless warrior for her people!....in some ways considered vicious, but she upheld, and defended her family's honor!
Thank you for writing about this awesome woman in the annals of history!
