Written July 2007 (I think), pre deletion day.

Firecracker

 

The smallest spark, the strongest voice,

Be careful for I burn.

 

Magnetic, charismatic, alluring,

Have no doubt I bite.

 

Addiction precedes this apparition,

I have the power to blind.

 

Stronger foes have fallen down,

Beware this dangerous mind.

Very different from what you usually write.. you've been dining with the dead??.. or vice versa??..
I loved all the f's in that last verse.. like a falk full of meat that I'm trying to get my lips around..

this is beautiful. I really mean it. Not even deep but perfect in rhyme. I like the last 2 lines especially. A pity you didn't know about my soul contest. It s over, I am just reading (have to) read all submissions and bring it to the end. This poem..is a kind of persuasive philosophical text.
