Marianne Dashwood

A Poem by Just Manoosh
"

For my love of Jane Austen, you still inspire me. This is a work in progress. "Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds Or bends with the remover to remove: 0, no! it is an ever-fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken..

"

Marianne Dashwood

From the spires of Combe Magna he came,
He battled the hills, the storm and the rain.
Upon the back of Bedivere no less,
Love in his eyes, mud on your dress.
Safely returned to Barton Cottage Door,
He even won over the harsh Elinor.
Love it was instant, he tickled your ear,
Using the sonnets of noble Shakespeare.
Oh romantic child how much you believed,
But your pure heart was sorely decieved.
He had no honour, no strength to confess,
A weak minded man, a b*****d no less.
