Empty Eyes

Empty Eyes

What difference does a day make?
....nothing to you my demon,
I do not want your words of comfort.

My body is a traitor it ignores my command,
.... how dare it help you,
It weeps with the permission of Satan.

I pray for dawn in its finest,
.... pass over, pass quickly,
For my sanity just pass while I live.

                                  Is it the 27th yet?

A tragic and eery poem that's riddled with an emotion sting that is truly unique and frightful. I wish that this poem didn't have to end, but i believe your use of minimalist diction plenty of promise provides me with a sense of relief. I like how you use the body part of eyes seeing often times people consider the eyes of a person the gate-way towards one's soul.

I love your 'on the fly' style.. day to day.. life to life.. situations.. I can imagine you jotting these down on a bus or somthing.. or in your car.. and then ploughing into an old lady because you wern't looking where you were going lol....
