divine buried treasure

the lifeless pearl within its oyster

beware the wolf.

 

Author's Note

This is an example of Senryu Haiku.

It follows the same 5-7-5 pattern as with any other haiku. The difference between Senryu and typical Japanese Haiku is that Senryu deals with human foibles, dark humour, and human emotion instead of nature or the season.

A senryu, not a haiku. I know a little bit about this. Little. I like that it's simply stated. This leaves something to my imagination.I wonder is it about pain or love? Both maybe. Good that the reader has to guess. Nice.
