The Devils Kiss


the wind she carries a warning,

beware the seduction of the mind.

in the begining "he" whispers to your soul,

and you will walk the streets unaware.


why did I not see it


this creature breeds with every dawn,

an invisible melody that kills your soul.

you can not fight it, you do not know it is there,

defence? what defence? how do you fight nothing?


why did I not feel it


the army of the silent kiss has never been defeated,

physical only upon victory, your doom is sealed.

there is no escape, do not bother to look,

Stronger people have fought and lost.

I really enjoyed this piece. To me it seemed to speak about how all of our hopes can be crushed so easily. And it doesn't take a giant rock falling to earth to do so LOL.

Perhaps it is because of ME - but I didn't take this to be about a man at all. I see depression. That's what makes this piece so good - the readers will interpret it - their own way. Excellent job!
