Colour

I am wearing my blue cap,

Energy seeps and smiles escape.

How long will it last this time?

Where are my red shoes?

Fire burns free when they grace my feet.

I dream of dancing.

Grey clouds blanket the sky,

I pray for wind, only for wind.

Oh so many cobwebs.

Black days torture the soul,

Where is the light? I need light.

My spirit fades quickly.

If a white room awaits,

Which way do I turn now?

What colour is hope…

Green streets recycle old ideas,

The world turns, it has to.

I wish it would bloody hurry up.

This was an interesting read. I liked the use of color, as the title implies, for each thought and how it's directly linked to something in your life. My favorite stanza is the same as everyone else's:

Where are my red shoes?
Fire burns free when they grace my feet.
I dream of dancing.

I think that's because dancing, like writing, is a form of self-expression. I do both. They both can be freeing but can also be frustrating when you can't get them right. I hope your block leaves soon. I was having the same problem last week.

Great job and thanks for sharing.
