THE CASE OF A WIN

THE CASE OF A WIN

A Poem by anthony blake
"

DASH OUT

"

A COMPETITION AROUND A RUNNING TRACK

THE AUDIENCE WITNESSES BEING IN TACT

AS A MATTER OF FACT

IT’S TRACK AND FIELD

THE METER DASH WITH A TROPHY BEING FOR REAL

THE RUNNERS ARE ALL SET

GETTING THAT ONE LAST LEGS STRETCH

THE RUNNERS ARE NOW IN THEIR APPROPRIATE PLACE

THEY WILL BE WATCHED CAREFULLY IN THEIR TRACE

IT’S CUNY VERSES SUNY
THE RUNNERS ARE OFF

SUNY RUNNER IS IN THE LEAD

BUT A CUNY RUNNER IS MOVING WITH SPEED

THE CUNY RUNNER HAS TAKEN THE LEAD

THE SUNY RUNNER IS TRYING TO CATCH UP

BUT CUNY RUNNER CROSSES THE FINISH LINE

IT’S CUNY WITH THE WIN

CUNY AND SUNY HAD A TIGHT RACE AT THE END.
