HOW SWEET THE SOUND WELL ALMOST

HOW SWEET THE SOUND WELL ALMOST

A Poem by anthony blake
"

Voice of Another

"

Someone in the Church wanted to sing a solo

But at the time, it started out as only a photo

Yet this was the night for the Church Choir to rehearse

This might be the time for a reverse

It was an allegorizing moment of sour note upon sour note

I would make anybody in the audience to choke

Someone suggested in let us pray

The Choir definitely needed a miracle

Now it has always been said, “Make a joyful noises”

But somewhere the congregation would disagree

Sour notes don’t win this

But how will the church congregation respond Fetch, Quiver and the words, Lord have mercy?

So painful as it was, the congregation managed to get how the sweet the sound by way of a sermon, “Glory in speaking Words”

That was the best unmusical tune ever heard

Amen to prayer and singing that never got there.
