I O F T E N W O N D E RA Poem by anthony blakeDOUBT INTO DELIVERANCEWhen struggles come, and I am praying on my knees, and I am in tears My struggles put in all kinds of fears I wonder Lord do you care It’s my wonder Then praying and waiting a moment for an answer My struggles start turning to doubt But I call on loud, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus in a despair shout Waiting and wondering It isn’t until later, a voice tells me to “Stand” being so merciful and gentle but is the Great I am So I rise up from praying on my knees being a voice from Heaven Jesus response says, “I am the Lord that hears all cries I am the Lord that conquers that people can’t overcome I am the Lord that is always among Yet, you are never alone I am your Comforter, Counselor, Problem Solver and everything else one could think of but in the Heavenly sense Your own doubt held you back at your moment Observe the wonders of what I put on this Earth Watch as the clouds change in formations Weather and how the seas wave I am that God and will always be that God Your struggles are going to be worked out It was solid praying of Jesus, Jesus, Jesus in your shout That was your praise But watch as I amaze Don’t doubt, but hold on to Faith Continue to stand and walk, but wonder no more Jesus I am as its salvation to always explore. © 2019 anthony blake |
