Said Chairman of the Board of Purview

In our search for Mr. Right for the task

A responsible man, that’s what we ask

One candidate raised his hand at once

Sir, by all means, I do mean no offence

Your need not search any further or far

My ex-employer will certainly vouch for 

I’m the one most deservingly responsible

Beyond any limits or the extent possible

In my previous office, It’s writ on the wall

I had been responsible, when heavens fall.

"Bouquet" and "Brickbats… " I like that.

As for the poem, it's an interesting start. The theme is both complicated and subtle. The first four lines have good flow with the meter and rhyme. I really loved the first four lines.

However, the meter and rhyme is too forced in the following lines. Meter is more important in poetry than rhyme. But, even meter is better set aside for the sake of the lines of meaning. By the end, this one, for me, fell apart and lost it's clarity by the end.
