My June

My June

A Poem by MANIPADMA

Have you seen my June?
My bright April sunshine,
Vibrant as new blooms,
Fresh, dewy, the lady of mine?

Hidden underneath the frost
Of icy January- December,
Summer warmth she is
Like winter’s glowing embers

My June, she is an enigma
Her eyes a veil of mystery
Like misty mornings of autumn
Is that woe she hides or a smile of victory?

She glides around oblivious
The grace of leaves in fall
Monsoon her joyous laughter
Spring in her steps, as she walks tall

June , at times, she ponders deep
A far away gaze in those hazel eyes
But then she smiles and sun shines through
The grey clouds in the August skies.

I can see the seasons change
I can feel the year pass by
In the moments spend with her
Many a lifetime does fly

A smooth flowing poem, brilliant imagery. Like the way the rhyme works. Beautiful poem indeed.
