Surpassing Young LoveA Poem by ImaniA sonnet that I have found that I wrote a long time agoWe are no longer that budding rose; So red with passion, fire, and danger, We are no longer talking to a stranger, Now it is our hearts that are enclose.
Passing through the times of spring, Opening up to the summers blazing seasons, It goes without any reasons, Why the happiness in our hearts will sing.
We now soar through the night sky Like the owl full of maturity -- full of wisdom. You lay to rest all my painful symptoms, Even if it seems that all I do is cry.
We may not be that youthful loving couple like before, But I will always love you forever more. © 2015 ImaniAuthor's Note
