Glass of Time - 8/16/21

Through the glass of time

I can see clear,

How her eyes can shine

Removing fear

Flowing river hair

Crystal complexion

I can see she’s fair

And wonder how, in reflection

Gaining beauty

As time continues to flow

Doing her duty

As her body does grow

Standing tall

In face of despair

She won’t fall

Her walls will repair

Her strength

Which is still raising

To any length

She deserves praising

Keeping her head high

No path is wrong

Releasing a mighty sigh

She continues her melodic song

Through the glass of time

I can see clear,

How her eyes can shine

Draping her shawl

Showing skin, fair

It cannot fall

Unless you dare

Her love is pure

And laughter contagious

Pulling on me like a lure

My love, outrageous

I wish you well

Keep moving on

And if you fell

Just hold on

You are with love

Never by yourself

I shall need no shove

For i'm here myself

Keep that chin raised

And heart strong

You will be praised

You’ve done nothing wrong.
