Lunch (Now)

Lunch (Now)

A Poem by Jimmy Glenn
"

My lunch activities.

I sit in culinary
Wanting the bell to ring
I used to stay rarely
But now I realize outside is boring

She sits in station one
With her other friends
Someone I have one
Love with no ends

She beckons me
I stand dumbfounded
Did she motion, really?
For my emotions are doubted

We are together
Yet I am scared
We want to be forever
Yet my emotions are layered

I will sit
And I will hold
Because we fit
No matter what we're told

I love you
And that is powerful
You know its true
And, for you, my love is full

Love is something that I have to show
Because the words just don't mean anything
I hope you know
My love for you is everything

My love has sunken deep
It is far inside
Yet you have, to keep
My love, for you will reside

You have put your hands
Deep in my heart
and pulled my love by strands
And made a picture of the parts

The good
The bad
The ugly
The hideous

And that makes me
A lovable creature
I don't understand how she
Loves what I have to feature

What makes love
I truly wont know

She stole my dove
But now, I'm part of her show

I love her
And she loves me
We hope forever
