Jake, I’m Sorry for Your Pain

By Jimmy Glenn

17 April 2017

Jake, I can see your pain

You think she doesn’t care

You tried in vain

And, no, it wasn’t fair.

You love her bro

And she played with you

She doesn’t seem to know

How hard you tried to fit the shoe.

She can’t see behind the scenes

She loves like a child

Nothing is like it seems

Even if it is more than mild.

Your pain is true,

She loves Raph

She doesn’t know that you

Died, but only half.

The pain doesn’t have to be fatal

Yes it does hurt

But don’t let yourself mettle

In her rusty dirt.

Now every time you see him

You remember what he took.

She left you on a whim

And all you can do is look.

But now you know

That if she gets hurt

That it’s up to you bro

And you’ll wear his skin as a shirt.

Nobody knows how you feel

We can only guess

But I can help you deal

With this ugly mess.

I have gone through things alike,

And I know it isn’t good

It feels like a spike

Went through your hood.

She hurt your heart

But you don’t have to be in pain

Just try to remain a part

Let your love rain.

You have done a good job

You were a mentor

And now she had to lob

You straight to the dementor.

He sucks the life

From you

And you strive

For your life, true!

He doesn’t have the strength

To remove anything

From you no matter the length

Of what you do, you are everything.
