Why Racism?

Why Racism?

A Poem by Jimmy Glenn
"

Anti-Racism writing. We are all equal but equality is not what we want, its fairness.

"

How many internal battles

Must we fight for equality

Because it rattles

The bones of everybody

Blacks are just as equal

As the white next to them,

So we need to change to appeal

To everyone to get them out of their pen.

Race should not depict wealth

Love should not be for our color

Rather we should focus on our health

And help everyone become fuller.

Equality is not what they look for

They look for fairness

So we make mistakes for sure

But trust me there will be equal but fair wellness

If we look to the future, there

Can be calmness among races

But all will have to share

And accept each other’s faces

No man, nor woman, is perfect

All we can do is try

We all think our deck is stacked

But please don’t lie.

Taking advantage of people is rude

And you deserve nothing

So somebody should intrude

When they see something.

Hello, Jimmy! :)
This reads as heartfelt, but unpolished. I suggest keeping at this one until the phrasing is smooth.
