Night Stranger FalloutA Story by Maniac MikeA sequel to Night Stranger.April 26, 2015 in Chester County, local businessman, Baxter Warner was found dead outside his milk factory, Happy Dairy. Police Detective Lionel Arness stated, “Baxter Warner was found with a broken milk bottle next to him which was used to bash his skull in.” Apparently after his attacker assaulted Mr. Warner, he (Warner) collapsed into the pen where company mascot, Lucy the Cow was kept. She was startled and apparently trampled her owner. “It’s so sad,” his niece, Alison Swanson said. “For years people accused my uncle of being a crime boss, now because of this horrible murder, more people are going to believe it.” Her male companion who worked for Happy Dairy, comforted her. On another note, it was only two months ago that two of Baxter’s employees were found shot dead behind Ryan’s Tavern. Another found dead inside a milk truck belonging to Happy Dairy. Eyewitnesses claim there’s been a turf war between Happy Dairy and Soy Source. CEO of Soy Source, Montana Mayfield, is currently nowhere to be found. Ryan Beckett gave a statement about a very real blood feud between the two milk giants.
“One company felt that soy is the future, another company had been on top for so long and planned to stay there,” Ryan confirmed. Before the fatal shooting of Baxter Warner’s employees, a bartender at the tavern said he saw Baxter and the men working over a young man resembling his niece’s possible boyfriend. “No comment,” he said. As the reporter on duty, I asked the guy his name, because he appears to be up to his neck in the milk war. Ryan mentioned on the night of the murders, the young college student was “spending like a high roller.” Before we could get his name, Alison dragged him out of the Happy Dairy lot. I’ve been doing my homework and though Miss Swanson is oblivious to her uncle’s thug ways, I’ve been investigating Baxter Warren for years and I can state in the article of this publication that Warner has a history of strong arming smaller dairy companies, shutting them down. When Soy Source moved into town, I knew there’d be problems. The Mayfield Family is feared by most crime bosses, but not Baxter Warner. An anonymous source to my office originally suggested that “Big” Gus Diggle was killed by his own men due to a stolen money envelope. Witnesses state there was a Soy Source truck in the neighborhood. Allegedly, Gus Diggle’s demise came at the hands of Soy Source employees. A bus driver places the Soy Source guys at the scene around the time Baxter’s henchmen met their end. The cars responsible for the drive by shootings were said to be registered to Mayfield. “When
I first moved
in to this
town, I regretted it,”
said a citizen
speaking on condition
of anonymity. “People
enjoying chocolate milk
from one company
would be harassed
by people associated
from the opposite
company. We can’t
live like this.”
I learned today the assets have all been frozen for Soy Source. With the death of Baxter Warner, the future of Happy Dairy is unknown. We here at Bugle News will keep you updated on what becomes of Happy Dairy. “Baxter Warner was an awful man and I’m glad he’s gone,” said an anonymous neighbor. “One time when he was driving his sports car, he backed up into my cat and never even bothered to stop the car and check.” Not to worry, as people will still be able to get generic dairy products from out of state. As of right now, the Dairy Wars are over. Call it a cease fire. “If you ask me, you should talk to the Swanson’s girl goofy boyfriend,” a local said. “It’s obvious he’s smack dab in the middle of it. One day he’s broke, the next night he’s a human piggy bank. I watched him lose high sums of money in bets to that girl in pool games.” The local didn’t know the individual’s name or know if he ever committed a crime against Soy Source. One thing that’s certain is the citizens of Chester County are all feeling a little safer.
