Gabriel

Gabriel

A Poem by Yuki
"

A poem about the famous Archangel, protecting a little girl.

"
When spring lurks behind the upcoming leafs
Water unfreezes and birds start to sing their melodies
Couples wander everywhere, expressing a passionate love
And then there is this twelve-year old, wandering alone

Her skin is pale and her hair black as coal
The trail behind her marks loneliness and misery
Clamping onto the few white feathers in her tiny hand
Wanting to keep Gabriel near her slender shell and broken heart

Without a single word
The angel went to pray
Even though she heard
Everything he had to say

After time winter returned and everything turned gray
The white feathers had been left in front of mother's grave
The trail still dark when Gabriel returned to this wandering soul
Walking back from where she came so long ago

Their eyes met filled with love and affection
Something the girl could have only dreamed of
With this guardian angel by her side she felt it
Craving for acceptance, hungry for attention

Through communication
Silent as the cries of men
Complete adoration
Where a new life began
