Blessed white dressA Poem by YukiA poem about insecurity and parental love.Blessed white dress A girl in a white dress stood behind the curtain Before her eyes, the play proceded As it was her time to shine she was certain The courage was something she needed That same courage had been lost, long ago Her walls build so high it could not shine through The death of her beloved ones had been the final blow She carried both of them with her in the form of a tattoo The white dress clean, but her heart stained with blood Smears of it she could never brush off nor hide The curtain of courage still closed and then she thought What if I just walked on stage and tried? Maybe they will laugh Maybe they will yell But if I never try How will I be able to tell? With that, four hands appeared behind her Slightly pushing her towards the next scene The girl still wondering about who they were As they tried to help the sweet, insecure teen For it had been the beloved ones that made her go The ones that were looking down from above They saw their daughter shine and glow Performing on stage and making sure she was loved Thank you mother And thank you dad Because you even bothered I can now forget My courage has returned My smile has been revived You gave me for what I've yearned I can now feel once again alive And so her performance had ended As she bow down in her white dress The reaction she recieved was splendid After which she looked up and knew, she was blessed
