My Choice

just something on spur of the moment.

You said you loved me,
You said you cared,
You said you'd always be there.
You said this without knowing this one thing...
What you meant to me.

You said forever,
I'm still not dead,
and it's still not forever yet.

You gave me that ring,
the ring you promised to the one you loved,
But I guess I wasn't good enough.
You took it back, Without a second thought.

But when you did this, the things you didn't see...
Is what you took from me.

You took my love,
You took my heart,
You took my sanity,
You took my everything.

But most importantly...
        You took me.

I said I loved you,
I said I cared,
I said...
"No matter what, I'll always be there."

And to this day,
forever and always,
until the day my hearts stop beating,
I will keep my word.

So when you're ready,
and when you're sure..

I will say I love you,
I will say I care,
I will even say...
"No matter what, I'll always be there"

But when this day comes,
My choice will be made,
And news to you,
My choice won't be you.
