Only You

just something i wrote yesterday

Sometimes I’m in a loss for words, 

with eyes like jungle,you look through my soul

making me forget about the world,

making me feel complete 

Sometimes I catch my breath, 

with closed eyes I could finally see

that time will show us the right path

time will show us beauty,faith and passion

Sometimes I fall in love,

with music,poetry and art

I always fall in love,

with only you

You know, this is very simple. That is what struck me at first. It gets to the point behind the piece, which I very much like. I won't say that this is the best piece that I have read, but I will say that it holds much in it. I loved the last two lines: "I always fall in love,/with only you". I think, in itself, that is the most heartfelt and true thing one could ever say.

Short and sweet.

I could see this being carved into stone on the mausoleum of two lovers, buried together, so that even in death they would never be apart. Morbid perhaps, but then why do so many love the tale of Romeo and Juliet? This piece, like that tale, speaks to something in people. It reaches out and touches that place in the hearts of those who read it where the desire for companionship lies. No one wants to be alone, and poetry like this keeps the idea of love alive.

As long as poets like you continue to write pieces like this, Love will always be more than just a chemical reaction.
