IF🍃
If, If, If So many "ifs", but still, nothing won't change. If only I could turn back the hands of time and stop the hurt. If only I was brave enough to tell them. my tears are nothing compared to the mountain dews. They are more simplified as Victoria Falls. If only I could stop them from gushing out. If I wasn't scared, I would have talked. Mama, mama, mama, I wasn't brave enough to stand up for myself, You were far away. If it was easy, I would have picked up the phone and called. If I wasn't threatened, I would have told them I don't blame anyone but myself. All these barbarians took my innocence. An innocent child, covered in blood, scared to voice out. If only my world wasn't annihilated, I would have stood up for my innocence. All these uncultured and unsophisticated beings deserve no voice in this world. If only I could take a marker and mark these vultures, Everyone could know. If, if, if, Still "these ifs" won't revamp my world Still "these ifs" won't resurrect my innocence. © 2025 Mandisa ThabetheAuthor's Note
