Until Death Do I Part

Until Death Do I Part

A Poem by Mandi Hidalgo
"

Battle scars revealed through the lines of poetry.

"

The daughter of eternity sings a rhythm of blind desire
My magnetic muse.
Enchantress of delights,
And carnal pleasure.
The sins of a woman
With a road of mistakes
Behind her
Inspire this lifeUntil there is no life
In me left to live.
Angel skin shall not blush for a though of urge,
For we are born from the wet decay
Of young ghosts not old enough to haunt.
Night did bellow thrills to the universe,
As yesterday became a picture at sunrise.
Remember that which was but one more day.
A carnival of wicked secrets,
Slathered in delicious lies.
Taste the candy coated rot.
Devour every bite.
Voices that hold worry upon a breath.
They ricochet into my heart,
And a question sinks like stone
Into the ocean of brilliance.
Something old and dead.
Something, oh, so shiny and new.
Something that was stolen,
And something black and blue.

About
I'm a small town girl who picked up a pen and paper to scrawl down my feelings in verse when I was 10 years old. Edgar Allan Poe was my reason for ever putting pen to paper. Writing poetry and reading.. more..
