Open Doors and Shattered Glass

Open Doors and Shattered Glass

A Poem by NyanMeow
"

A symbolic short piece about the choices we make and how you can't go back.

"
Flying away, moment set free
Window shut
Stuck in rut
So they say, not to meant to be

Door was open, door was wide
Promising
A sure thing
But what was really on the other side?

Sinking feelings, unable to pass
Maybe so
The window?
All that's left, shattered glass.

Author's Note

NyanMeow
I've had the most massive writers block for almost 2 months now but I am back! I guess you could consider this a sort of warm up piece as I get myself back into daily writing. I like people to guess the deeper meaning of my works so I won't give away my inspiration.

I'm still just a dabbler in writing. I hope that changes. For now, I have a "day-job" in marketing, waiting for the day writing becomes something that sustains more then just my outlet for my strange .. more..
