Early Morning
A Poem by
Manda
As she lays restless, unable to sleep she looks and listens to the world as it comes alive
In the early hours Of the morning I lay in bed Awake and restless So much is on my mind And no peace exists My window propped open And sprinkled in dew All sounds mute Except that of a cricket's tune As the sun arises Across the horizon The sky becomes painted In a sea of colors Slowly one by one Little critters awaken Their homes Still covered in darkness As the dew evaporates The world is lost amongst the fog And the silence of the night Had been awakened by the morning's light

Yet so simply deep in meaning for life can sometimes be complex when we seek to understand the many question and answer we face.

I was overwhelmed by all of the possibilities being birthed from
the horizon. The poem seems to define hope.

A beautiful description of a new day. I like the way you described the life coming alive to face the new day. A excellent poem.
