Tell Me... Why
A Poem by
Manda
She watches as her mom suffers to become happy. All she wants is for her to be happy and feel happy inside but doesnt know how. She knows its hard.
Someone once told me Never be afraid to dream Follow your heart And all will be alright So why do you seem so unhappy When I look into your eyes I see you suffering And longing for happiness You are everything to me My mother Best Friend And even my sister I see myself Growing up to be just like you Just as strong And passionate toward others I see that you're hiding Behind the lies And your happiness Is so far from the surface So mom tell me Why are you hiding And suffering When you know I see you unhappy I know your life is hard And a challenge Especially when it seems You have no one by your side But know I am always here As your daughter And your sister For ever and ever So mom tell me Why And together We can help you become happy

Since my parents have divorced, my mother has been so unhappy. It's been out of my reach, the happiness. If I could, I would've given it to her. This made me cry lol Great Job!

You are a pillar of strength.
Just being there is more than enough.
This is lovely work.

Some pain can't be discussed. My mother told me things from her past lately she hid for 60 years. Some secrets are hard to be open up. Old wounds can rebirth pain. I like your desire in this poem to be a friend to your mother. You should be. Mother and daughter need to be one forever. A excellent poem. Thank you.
