ahhh..... so true. there was agony in your words that spoke to me as i read. a truly fantastic write in my opinion. the best works are those that come straight from the heart and you could tell that this once did.
I have only one suggestion... scrap the last line.
The poem would have a better feel to it if it ended with ..
"I just don't understand how"

the last line sort of makes it less important.
