My Fault

She knows its her fault but wishes that he would simply understand

Its all my fault
That we lost our friendship
And our love

I wish you understood
How much this guy means to me
And how much I love him

I know it's hard for you
To live your life
Knowing that you love me

But Jake
The fire we once had for one another
Burned out

It's time to move on
And get past the memories
And the love we once shared together

I wish we could still be friends
And be able to talk
But I guess that won't ever happen.

I wish it wasn't my fault
Our friendship died
And we forced to say goodbye

I can relate to your poem. I have lost a number of friends as well, and it isn't a good feeling-specially when it's your fault. But my advice for you is to just wait and let time help you. Everything will be alright in the end. I liked this poem because it was straightforward and honest, to the point that you even put the person's name there. Not everyone can do that, so I commend you for your bravery. Good poem.:)
