The KnifeA Poem by Manda
My conscious tells me it's wrong
Making me scared to try First attempts are unsuccessful But finally I break the skin A thin layer of blood appears Where the knife broke into my skin All I feel is burning But for a moment my heartache is gone God I messed up, My conscious tells me Over and over again To keep going Just a little deeper I role my eyes Knowing I've done enough damage For now I hate myself for what I've done Not to me but to you I'm better off alone And with my new scars To never let me forget What I have done... © 2016 MandaFeatured Review
